Interim Pastor, Hamilton Square Baptist Church
Liz is the interim pastor at Hamilton Square Baptist Church.  She served new churches in her work on the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey (ABCNJ) Region staff as Associate Regional Pastor for New Church Development.  In 1998 she graduated from the ABCNJ’s Church Leadership Institute (CLI) and was licensed as a lay pastor.  She was ordained in 2005.  During 2003 and 2004 she served as interim pastor at the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield.  She was the Mission and Service Coordinator for the American Baptist Women's Ministries (ABWM).  She also serves on the Board of the Monmouth Center for World Religions and Ethical Thought which is dedicated to promoting dialog for an interfaith community.  

Liz is a member of the Princeton Baptist Church of Penns Neck where she has served as Trustee, Mission Advocate and licensed lay pastor.  In 1991 she chaired the Pulpit Search Committee.  Other leadership roles included serving on the ABCNJ Council, as Moderator for the Capital Association, and member of the Board for Riverview Estates, the Baptist Home of South Jersey where she chaired the Personnel Committee, and continues to lead chapel services on occasion.  Liz was Vice-President and then President, ABCNJ, 1997-1999 and was a member of mission teams to the Philippines in 1999, Haiti in 2000, Rwanda in 2001, Rwanda and Egypt in 2002, and Rwanda in 2003, Egypt and Arizona in 2006.  Liz is the recipient of the 2003 Barbara North “Love in Action” award from Mobile Meals of Trenton for community service.    

Liz is a nurse with a diploma from St. Luke’s School of Nursing, NY, Bachelor of Arts degree from Jersey City State University, and Master of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  She retired from public health after 25 years with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.  Prior to that Liz worked in hospitals for 17 years.  Liz delights in her four daughters, granddaughter and three grandsons.
